Hungary’s TriGránit has been awarded this year’s CIJ Award for Investment Transaction of the Year by Construction & Investment Journal (CIJ) for the selling of Budapest’s Millennium Towers in a deal worth EUR 175 million, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal today.
The 70,400 square-meter “A” category office complex has been jointly sold by TriGránit, owned by TPG Real Estate, and Heitman LLC, to buyer CA Immo. TriGránit revealed that it is planning an office development of 35,000 sqm in the area of Millennium City Center in the near future.
“Receiving the award is a special honor and an acknowledgment for us, since in 2008 Millennium Towers was awarded CIJ’s accolade for the year’s Best Real Estate Development,” recalled TriGránit CEO Árpád Török. “We trust that our next development, the 35,000 sqm Millennium Gardens office building project on the banks of the Danube near the National Theater and Müpa, will be similarly successful,” he added.
